Since Meta switched off the Facebook Groups API in 2024, scheduling tools cannot post into groups their users are only members of. Grovo posts from the user's own browser instead.
HASLET, Texas, October 27, 2026: Grovo, a Chrome extension built by The Dev Factory, posts one message into many Facebook groups from the user's own browser. It works in the groups people are members of, not just the groups they run, which is the gap Meta left when it removed third-party access to the Facebook Groups API on April 22, 2024.
Scheduling tools that posted into groups through that API stopped on the same day. Zoho Social told customers Facebook Groups would not be accessible in any of its plans from April 22, 2024, and MeetEdgar said there was no workaround. RecurPost's own guide now says none of the available methods can post automatically to groups where the user is only a member.
That leaves the people who rely on community groups the most, realtors sharing listings, local businesses announcing specials, social media managers working for several clients, pasting the same post into group after group by hand.
"I built Grovo because I was sick of pasting the same post into 30 Facebook groups one at a time. When the schedulers lost group posting, the people who needed it most were left copying and pasting: realtors, shop owners, the people who sell in their own town's groups." said Justin Scott, founder of Grovo.
Grovo runs inside Chrome where the user is already logged in to Facebook. The user writes a post once, picks a saved list of groups, and Grovo opens each group, posts, waits, and moves on. It never asks for a Facebook password and keeps posts and group lists in the user's browser.
Built for groups, not just volume:
- Different wording for each group with free spintax, so no two groups see the same post.
- Each group's own rules remembered: the days it allows posts, a cut-off time, whether it takes images or links, and how many posts a day or week. Grovo skips a group when its rules say no, and says why.
- Safe pacing: Safe, Balanced and Fast speeds, a 2 to 3 minute break every 5 or 6 posts, and a gentler start for new accounts.
- A clear record of every run: which groups posted, which are waiting for admins and which failed, with one click to resend to the groups that were missed, without doubling up.
- It stops by itself the moment Facebook restricts posting.
"Grovo does what you would do yourself, from your own browser, at a pace Facebook is comfortable with. It follows each group's rules, and if Facebook pushes back, it stops. No tool can promise you'll never be restricted, and I won't pretend it can." Scott said.
Grovo is available now on the Chrome Web Store. The free plan includes three posting sessions with no card required. Grovo Pro costs $14.99 a month or $149 a year for unlimited posting and AI rewrites.
