Who we are
Grovo is made and run by FabMags LLC, 1521 Primrose Place, Haslet, TX 76052, United States, which is responsible for the personal data described here. What is the same across every FabMags LLC product, including payments, is in the FabMags LLC Privacy Policy.
What we collect
When you use the Grovo Chrome extension, we collect:
- Account details: your email address, the sign-in codes we email to it, a random device ID created in your browser, your extension version and when you last used Grovo.
- Where you signed up from: your IP address when you sign up and confirm your email, the approximate country and city worked out from it, the grovo.io page or campaign that sent you (from a cookie on grovo.io), and any discount code you enter.
- Your Facebook profile: the Facebook user ID and profile name you post as, read in your browser, so we can see which profile Grovo posts from when helping you.
- Posting activity: for each group Grovo posts to, the group link and name, the name of your list, whether the post went out, failed or is waiting for admin approval and why, the link to the post and the name it was posted as. We also keep step-by-step logs of posting runs and of your guided first post, including the language of the Facebook page and the button labels Grovo looked for.
- AI variations (Pro, only when you use them): the post text you ask to rewrite is sent through our server to Anthropic, which writes the variations. We do not store that text; we record only that variations were requested.
- Group lists sent to the Grovo API: if you connect another app with your API token, the list names and group links it sends are stored on our servers.
- Support requests: the messages and screenshots you send us.
- Emails we send you: whether they are opened and which links are clicked.
We do not collect:
- Your Facebook password or login credentials
- Your Facebook friends list or personal messages
- Your browsing history outside of Facebook
- The text and images of your posts, except the text you send for AI variations as described above
How we use your data
- To sign you in and manage your subscription
- To apply the free tier limits
- To find and fix posts that fail, and to help you when you contact support
- To send account emails (sign-in codes, subscription confirmations) and emails about getting started with Grovo, which you can unsubscribe from
- To understand which pages and campaigns bring people to Grovo
We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who processes data for us
- cphost (South Africa) hosts our servers, database and email.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Anthropic writes AI variations of post text for Pro users who ask for them.
- ip-api.com looks up an approximate country and city from your IP address when you sign up.
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity measure how visitors use www.grovo.io. Clarity records how visitors move through and click on our web pages.
Payment processing
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card number. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy and PCI compliance.
Data storage
Your account data and posting activity are stored on servers hosted in South Africa. Your posts, lists and settings are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. When Grovo posts, the group links, list name and results described above are sent to our servers, but the text and images of your posts are not.
Data retention
We keep your account data and posting activity for as long as your account is active. Detailed logs are kept for your last 5 posting runs only, and sign-in codes expire after 15 minutes. If you sign out of the extension, your local data is archived on-device and can be restored by signing back in. You can request full account deletion by emailing support@grovo.io.
Cookies
The Grovo extension does not set cookies. It reads Facebook's own login cookie in your browser to learn your Facebook user ID, and the grovo_source cookie that www.grovo.io sets for 30 days to remember which page or campaign sent you. www.grovo.io also uses cookies for Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Our admin dashboard uses session cookies for staff sign-in only.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Export your data

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or through the extension.
