People ask me how Grovo compares to the big social media schedulers. For most things, it doesn't: they do Instagram, LinkedIn, analytics and team approvals, and Grovo does none of that. Grovo does one job. It posts your message into the Facebook groups you're a member of.
That one job is the thing the schedulers lost in 2024.
The short version
| Tool | Posts into groups you're only a member of | Their words |
|---|---|---|
| Grovo | Yes, from your own browser | That's what it's for |
| Zoho Social | No, groups removed April 22, 2024 | Zoho's announcement |
| MeetEdgar | No, stopped April 22, 2024 | MeetEdgar help article |
| RecurPost | No automatic posting where you're only a member | RecurPost guide |
Using another scheduler? Search its help pages for "Facebook groups April 2024". Most tools that posted through Facebook's Groups API lost group posting on the same day.
When a scheduler is still the right tool
- You post to Pages, Instagram, LinkedIn or X and want one calendar for all of it.
- You only post in groups you admin, where Facebook's own scheduling works.
- You need team approvals and reporting.
When Grovo is the right tool
- You promote in community, town, buy and sell or business groups that aren't yours.
- You're pasting the same post into ten, twenty or fifty groups a week.
- You want each group's rules followed: post days, cut-off times, no links, a post a week.
Plenty of people use both: the scheduler for their Page and Instagram, Grovo for the groups.
What Grovo costs
Free: 3 posting sessions, up to 6 groups a list, no card. Pro: $14.99 a month or $149 a year for unlimited posting and AI rewrites. It runs in Chrome on your computer while the Facebook tab is open.
If you want the longer story of what changed, I wrote it up in why your scheduler stopped posting to Facebook groups.
